Volunteer Recruitment, Selection, Training, Placement, Retention and Recognition
a) Designs, plans and ensures the nationwide implemenation of volunteer programs, policies and procedures.
b) Facilitates the recruitment, selection and placement processes to recruit volunteers to ensure that the best candidates are acquired and their skills are utilized for PRC Operations.
c) Ensures that appropriate orientations and leadership trainings are provided to volunteers to enhance their skills and enable them to learn and acquire new skills.
d) Conducts further counseling and engagement of volunteers to retain them or ensure that they remain active in participating in various PRC activities.
e) Ensures that deserving volunteers are being recognized and awarded on a regular basis.
f) Coordinates with other services, departments and chapters for the deployment and/or assignment of volunteers based on their skills, interest and expertise and/or wherever their services are needed.
g) Conducts orientation about the Volunteer Service functions and the volunteering work of the PRC.
h) Provides consultation and technical assistance to services and chapters on volunteer management.
Management
- Annually develops the unit goals and ensures that it is aligned with the strategic direction of the organization
- Evaluates the individual and team’s performance and provides feedback to ensure that the unit goals are being achieved
- Devise effective and efficient task structure of the Volunteer Services staff and continuously monitor their workload to ensure that outputs are delivered on time and the quality of work is not compromised
- Ensures that all subordinates follow the PRC policies and regulations
- Attends executive meetings
- Participate in the development of the organization’s strategic direction
- Orients and/or trains newly hired staff with the culture and processes of the Volunteer Service
- Proposes and controls the annual budget of the unit
- Prepares and submits the monthly and/or annual report of the unit to the Secretary General
- Performs other duties and responsibilities delegated by the Secretary General within his or her capacity and Philippine Red Cross Mandate
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree holder preferably in Social and/or Behavioral Sciences or any related course.
- At least three [3] years managerial experience
- Must be familiar with Philippine Red Cross standard operations and procedures.
